As you construct your presentation for next week, keep in mind a handful of suggestions to help make it a total success:
Choose any presentation tool you like, however, keep it very simple. Please don't spend any time at all fussing over transitions, colors, fonts, and so forth because they do not contribute whatsoever to the real content. Additionally, the more complex formatting is used, the less likely it will be correctly opened by someone else. A good workaround that I often use is to convert my presentations to a .pdf format -- this is a way to guarantee that it'll look right no matter what computer I have to use. If any of you need an excellent and free (as in "free access to the source code" as well as "free beer") alternative to MS Office is available and highly recommended, OpenOffice.org.
Be sure to include a daily plan that addresses all of the objectives of the class. Provide opportunities for all class members to actively participate and contribute to the class' success.
It's not possible to predict precisely what the expenditures will be but you can get a general idea based on what you find in FitDay, search results for generally accepted caloric burn rates, and the samples that I've provided.
Split your presentation up so that several of you get a chance to speak and present the program.
I'm encouraged by the level of planning that you all seem to be doing, and I'm anticipating a strong plan for both of us. I have a follow-up at the physician's office Friday afternoon, and I'm hoping to get the green light to start your program.
Once I have a chance to closely evaluate your plans for both of us, look for some suggestions for improvement to the plan late Monday night. Make those changes ASAP, so that Mrs. C and I can get ourselves squared away for the week.
If you have any questions at all, please post them here. I'll check in at least once or twice daily.
