Last Reminders (for Last Week of Plans)

Here is a list of some things to keep in mind for your last week of preparation:
  • There is a dinner I will be attending at the MAA-SE South Carolina state meeting on Thursday, November 8.
  • Saturday's race will be at night. Plan the usual oatmeal breakfast, and something very light for lunch (this is a good time for a PB&J sandwich!) and some fruit or yogurt for the afternoon. Don't bother planning a dinner. My race starts at 7:00 p.m., so I'll likely just be getting a PowerBar or something like that.
  • My physical is scheduled for 8:45 a.m. on Monday, November 12. Your last planned meal for me will be Sunday, November 11, dinner.
  • The workout group will need to carefully plan when we're going to do the post-tests for push-ups, sit-ups, mile run, and sprint. If I feel next Monday like I did this past Monday, you may want to consider holding off on the mile run until at least Tuesday, to allow me a chance to recover from Saturday.
