Weight, BP, Resting HR on 8/31

Today's office visit with my physician indicated there's still something going on inside. On Monday, they are calling me with further word. I was hopeful that it was just due to working out or an infection. While there, I got weighed again, checked bp, and resting hr:

  • weight = 185.4
  • bp = 108/74
  • resting hr = 52
I've already entered the weight into FitDay. So that you all get accustomed to how FitDay behaves, I highly recommend that you go enter the week's diet and anticipated activities now, rather than later! As you will learn (just as I did) it's not easy to use initially. The more you use it, the easier it gets.

The 3-pound drop this week should be commented on. The present cholesterol level really got my attention, so I went back on my old so-called "competition" diet that I have good luck with in the past. I've also replaced my whey protein with EAS Soy Protein (which is oddly missing from the EAS website -- but you can find the nutritional information here). The soy protein doesn't taste as good as the whey protein in smoothies. I may experiment with some other brands. In the meantime if any of you all want the whey protein that I have left over, just let me know. Each serving has 65mg of cholesterol vs. the 0 mg for the soy protein. On the other hand, the time of day for weighing ought to be consistent. This weigh-in was at 3:45 p.m. whereas the previous weigh-in was mid-morning (but after fasting for a blood test).

Here are three screenshots showing what my diet was for those days:
Hope your presentation is coming along well. May I also recommend that you decide on a weight goal for both of us and enter those into FitDay. The software will then tell you how much weight needs to be lost each week to achieve that goal. Then you can work on the diet and exercise to help reach that goal.
