Diet and Workout for 9/11/07

Breakfast
  • 1/2c Egg Beaters
  • 24 ounces coffee, brewed
  • 3 servings coffee-mate
Mid-Morning
  • 1 medium banana, raw
Lunch
  • Ham sandwich on whole wheat -- I wasn't sure what was actually in ham salad, so I went with whole wheat, 4 deli-thin slices of ham, 1/2c lettuce, 4 slices medium tomato, a handful of black olives, a few slices of green pepper (It's what we in the south call a Bell Pepper, but it's not found under that name in FitDay. Try looking under sweet pepper.)
  • 8 ounces strawberry yogurt
Dinner
  • 3 ounces grilled salmon
  • .75c asparagus
  • 1c couscous
Workout
  • Today's fartlek workout was short, but pretty intense. The first couple of intervals were incredibly painful after yesterday's workout. It's going to take a while for me to get used to the range of motion during weight training that is significantly greater than what I use when running or riding. After the first couple of today's efforts, the remainder were totally doable. I'd even consider adding something like a mile or two cool-down afterwards next week.
