I completed my 30-minute bike ride this morning. Not bad for the first time back on the bike in several mo nths. My distance was 5.1 miles in 30 minutes. (Not quite the 12-13.9 mph rate y'all had projected.) Overall, I felt fine at the end. My pulse was 126. My legs didn't hurt and, in fact, my legs (from the lunges) are doing much better today. Maybe I'll be able to run UP the bleachers tomorrow after all although not sure how much running DOWN I'll be able to accomplish. But I'm willing to give it a try. Please make arrangements with Mike Smith or somebody to get the stadium unlocked. Campus police can also unlock it with the approval of the athletic department. Have we coordinated a time for Monday night? We can talk about it tonight.
Overall with the diet & exercise, I'm feeling great! The amount of foods (i.e., serving sizes and calorie intake) is working well for me although the variety could be improved. I'm drinking plenty of water and taking my multivitamin/Ca supplement. I've even discovered a flavor of Gatorade that I really like! I'm sleeping well (but that could be because this is the "easiest" time of the academic year for my job). I look forward to a great 10 (or so) weeks, especially if everything continues to get better.
I am a little frustrated with not knowing how I'm doing each day since my diet isn't getting updated. Please...?! Oh, and in the food list, it's not evaporated milk; look for cow's milk! Evaporated milk is canned milk, normally used in cooking. I doubt I'll be drinking chocolate milk unless it's low-fat and then I usually mix it with skim milk. Will let you know if that happenes.
Well, see you tonight at 7:30
