For food, only change was the apricot chicken on Sunday. We had lunch at our church and had baked chicken instead. Since the menu was so close, I just ate the baked chicken.
Exercise was a little bit trickier. It's getting darker early and I'm not comfortable riding my bike on the highway. Neighborhood riding is safer but it's more difficult to get the speed up since I have to keep slowing down for stop signs, etc. So, Friday night when I got home, it was too late to go for the hour long ride but I did so a 25 minute ride in the neighborhood.
On Saturday, no problem, did the walk as planned. However, during the second 25-minute my right foot started bothering me (plantar fasciitis or heel spur). By the time I got home, I could barely walk. This thing about this particular problem is that once I sit down (or go to bed), I can barely walk around once I get up. So by Sunday morning, I was in rough shape. Managed to get going and made it to church. Never got Sunday's bike ride in...could probably have ridden despite my foot but I never had an hour to ride. I was on the committee to fix the lunch and had to help with the clean up. Got home around 2:00; had to go back at 3:00 to train our acolytes; finished that around 6:30 and it was almost dark. Went to the PKA accept day (that was a hoot!). It was too dark to ride at that point.
I'm thinking that we're going to have to limit the bike rides to weekends only. (Future Sundays shouldn't be as much problem. I had a lot going on church this Sunday but that is very unusual.) Running after I get home is not as much of a problem because I have a 1-mile area in my neighborhood or I can go to the lighted track at PC.
I read the fitness article and look forward to any changes y'all plan to make. Just remember, due to my foot, I can't do anything in the mornings since that's when I have problems walking. I know this is limiting you but you're doing a great job with my workouts and I know this will continue. Sorry to be so old and decrepit!
