Here are some plots and descriptions of workouts from this week.
Tuesday's 220 repeats were described earlier. Here's the plot.
Wednesday's Harbison ride time was off because of my forgetting to restart the darn thing after a stop. I used J's timer to get the right total time. After warming up, the ride had two laps on a longer track with a brutal climb on it. I kept the hr at 90% of max or better for 23+ minutes. The second lap shelled me, and you can see the blue average pace line drop on the second lap, for nearly the same hr. Each lap was around 11+ minutes. It's getting harder to get my hr in the upper 160s to low 170s, but overall speed is going up, so I take that as a good sign of working more efficiently. Here's the plot.
Thursday's Harbison ride was just awful. It poured rain, and it made grip impossible. On top of that, the two previous hard days in a row finally caught up with me. It was another case of actually feeling drowsy while I was in the saddle. Attempts at a hard effort resulted the engine just not working. Between being totally cashed and miserable from the mud and rain, I bailed and came home after only 40 minutes. I was so tired I couldn't watch the HBC at my Ph.D. Alma Mater put the fourth quarter finish on Kentucky. Here's the plot -- it's pretty obvious how badly it went.
