I'm pretty excited about all of this and can't wait to see what the class comes up with! Will it be a simple diet of "x" number of calories per day? Will it be a low-carb diet? A low-fat diet?



A low-carb diet always works well for me...provided I stick to it for a few months. But many physicians just recommend dieting based on calorie intake with some thought for low-fat & low-carb. Either way, I'm ready to make it successful.



And exercise? What will the group come up with? I can walk or bike to work with no problem; I'd love to be a runner (but running is so-o-o hard!) and recently bought some new running shoes. I don't mind lifting weights, etc., but am not sure how we'd get that scheduled since I could only go to the gym in the evenings. Will the students be available to monitor me in the evenings? Shouldn't they be in the library studying??!!!!



At any rate, I look forward to tomorrow. Oh, I have a meeting at 4:30 on Monday which means we'll have to give some thought to when I can do my baseline testing (sit-ups, etc.). My physical is Tuesday at 3:20. If everybody will be sure they know their schedule for Monday evening, we can probably pick a time that will be convenient to me and at least some of the class.
