Not a good day for me. I slept late, jumped out of bed at 7:50, skipped breakfast & coffee, then got slammed at work and missed lunch. After halfway through the afternoon, I realized that I had a SERIOUS workout so began to jam stuff in my mouth. Here's what I had:
2 sticks mozzarella cheese
1.5 ounces carrots
1 South Beach Diet Nut Medley Cereal Bar (very good!)
700 ml water
Then I ran to change clothes and get to the stadium by 5:30. Got there, did a 5 minutes stretching and remembered that Stef & Renee said 7:00. So I went to GDH for supper, knowing I had to eat SOMETHING. Here's what I had:
6 oz Baked Tilapia
1 cup Wild Rice w/ Mushrooms & Almonds
Roasted Indian Vegetables (sweet potatoes & squash--I'd guess about 1/2 cup of each)
1 cup lettuce
2 tablespoons low-fat Italian dressing
700 ml water
During my workout at 7:00, I had another 700 ml of water plus maybe about 8 more ounces (why don't they standardize the volume on these bottles of water!?)
So that's it. Sorry to mess up my diet. I tried to choose wisely in GDH to include low-fat options but stuff with carbs for the upcoming workout.
And if I didn't work off all of the calories, I'll eat my hat!!
Stef & Renee, I feel fine now. After I got home, felt a little weird for a while but took a cool shower and feel much better. I needed that workout after the day I had in the office!!!
