According to www.self.com Dr. Harshaw will be losing a decent amount of calories on his workout days.
Mondays, by far the hardest day of the week for Dr. Harshaw will contain a weight training workout that causes him to lose approximately 450 calories.
Wednesday is more of an aerobic workout. Dr. Harshaw will burn about 200 calories that day.
Fridays Dr. Harshaw will burn approximately 400 calories in his total body workout.
According to the previous running information posted on fit day Dr. Harshaw will lose about 630 calories doing his 4 mile runs on Thursdays.
The bike ride Dr. Harshaw takes on Saturday burns about 3000 calories so that day depending on the trail type he takes we need to give him snacks all throughout the day.
All of these numbers are estimated by the intensity and the length of the workouts. For strength training we will not time Dr. Harshaw but he should be working at a moderate to vigorous pace.
Mrs. Carbonneau will burn about 300 calories on Tuesdays and approximately 450 on Thursdays. A number of topics go into these numbers such as age, height, weight, etc. I believe with the lifting and running programs we have set up along with a healthy diet we should see a significant difference in our rats by the end of the semester. Anything in these workouts is subject to change if necessary.
